Distribution: a brave old world @ Berlinale 61st 2011

EFM 2011

Market buzz was hectic at Berlinale’s EFM, much on the wake of Sundance’s buying frenzy which saw one of the best markets ever in Utah.

The restaurant: we took rounds around those distributors and sales agents that showed interest when we pitched the project in Cannes 2010.

The bottom-line with everyone is: we love the idea, show us the film when it’s done.

We had renewed interest from Beta Cinema (Germany), East West Distribution (Austria) and Le Pacte (France).

New comers were: Movie Avenue (USA), ELO Company (Brasil), Iris Film (Italy), VIDEA (Italy), IntraMovies (Italy), Funny Balloons (France), Memento Films (France) and Bollywood Giant Eros International (India).

It was a good Berlinale for The restaurant. Now it’s time to shoot the movie and harvest.
